Hello friends. This is the latest article regarding legislative activity on climate security. The U.S. senate is currently debating stiffer policy on a national level called the Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act. As things progress I’ll keep you posted. This is a big step toward addressing environmental health issues that we are all fighting for.
Until the next time,

Electricity industry wrangles over California’s greenhouse gas law
Customer bills could soar under a plan to require public energy suppliers that rely heavily on coal to buy the right to pollute from private suppliers with cleaner nuclear and hydroelectric power.

Hello Friends,
It has been a very interesting start to the year with all the excitement around the presidential debates. I have been busy working on my new album and getting ready for the upcoming festival tour dates. I wanted to thank all of you for the support you’ve given me over the past year. I’ve received a lot of great feedback for my latest video “Save Me.” Thanks to fans and friends like you spreading the word, there are over 340,000 video views. That is amazing.
I am so encouraged that the environment and how it affects our health is becoming an important topic to all of us. Recently I came across an article that touches this issue. I grew up around petrol plants and have battled mercury poisoning and other toxicities since it was discovered. If left untreated these toxins can cause diseases like Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons, and Alzheimers. It is upsetting to learn that even our precious parks and waters are being affected by airborne toxicities and other chemical wastes. You can read the full article @ (View USA Today here). Unfortunately there is no safe haven to industrialization.
Again, I want to thank you for your support and hope that whoever is elected will take action to help reverse the environmental damage that ultimately affects the quality of our lives.
All the best,
Tracy
Dear Friends,
Last Friday, the U.S. Senate passed historic energy legislation in an 86-8 vote that will go a long way toward addressing the triple-threat of energy security, climate change and environmentally-related health issues that America and the rest of the world is facing. You can read more about it in the Washington Post article posted HERE.
While there is still much to be done – including President Bush’s signature on the legislation – I am so encouraged by the amount of political attention being paid to making the tough choices needed to heal our fragile planet. I hope you’ll join me in continuing the fight to create a sustainable world…your voice really counts.
Thanks for much for supporting my music and my effort to be one small voice among many working to protect our future.
Love, Peace and Happy Holidays!
All the best, Tracy
